What is a Chimney Balloon?

How to Use a Chimney Balloon?
Chimney Balloons are available in many sizes so almost any fireplace flue can be fitting for one. The best place to install a Chimney Balloon is a location in the chimney flue that has these characteristics:
- Within arms reach
- 6" height or more of roughly parallel walls
- Not obstructed with the damper hardware
If the damper opens downward, often the area just above the damper is usually the easiest location to install a Chimney Balloon.
