Order a Specialty Inspection to Protect Your Home and Family

Before buying a home in central Viriginia, contact Burgess Inspections, Inc. We have completed more than 30,000 home inspections throughout Chesterfield and Henrico County and have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. With our experience and expertise, you will have the knowledge you need to make a wise purchase. In addition to home inspections, we also offer the following speciality inspections.

1. Synthetic Stucco Inspection

If you are planning to purchase a home that is clad with synthetic stucco (i.e., EIFS), allow our experts to take a look before signing on the dotted line. EIFS requires regular maintenance to prevent moisture from compromising the integrity of the home. Even the slightest of cracks or chips can indicate major damage. Our inspectors are skilled at performing detailed synthetic stucco inspections and will make recommendations based on their findings.

2. Mold Testing

Allergies, breathing trouble, rashes, and headaches are just a few of the problems associated with mold exposure. Protect the health and well-being of your family by ordering a pre-purchase mold inspection. A certified inspector will look for visible evidence of mold, take tape lifts when necessary, and gather air samples from inside and outside the home. We will provide you with lab results and recommendations for remediation if necessary.

3. Radon Testing

Much like carbon monoxide, radon is an odorless, invisible gas that can cause serious harm to your family's health. To know if your home has dangerously high levels of radon, hire one of our radon inspection professionals to perform a radon inspection. We will set up a radon detection system to collect air samples throughout the home over a period of several days. If your home has a level of 4.0 pCi/L or greater, we will recommend local experts to address the problem.

4. Pool and Spa Inspections

While a home's pool and/or spa might seem like a selling point, it can also be a major headache. Pool repairs can range anywhere from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars. A pool inspection will tip you off to any potential issues and give you bargaining power when negotiating a selling price.
